About Us
Western Partners Technology, or WestTech, was founded to bring Satellite Speed Internet Service to Rural Minnesota. WestTech is a partnership between Lyon-Lincoln Electric Cooperative in Tyler, MN and Renville-Sibley Cooperative Power Association in Danube, MN. These cooperatives have been supplying electricity and other needed services to rural Minnesota for over 65 years. When their members were unable to get fast, affordable Internet service they began offering WildBlue.
After about a year of providing this service to their communities, word of mouth began driving demand for service beyond the cooperative's core service territories. With demand for new services and the needs of existing subscribers in mind, the two cooperatives decided to partner their Internet businesses together and form Western Partners Technology.
